The dates and venues for 2012 are listed below

Wednesday, 28th March at Oxspring, Penistone

Wednesday, 11th April  at Silkstone Common, Barnsley

Wednesday, 25th April  at Low Bradfield, Sheffield

Wednesday, 9th May  at Pickburn Arms, Brodsworth

All races start at 19.00 hrs. Last time for entries is 18.50 hrs.

Road Secretary Keith Binney asks that all clubs supply a contact with their email address if this has changed since last season. It would help if clubs could give an approximate number of runners.  Payment must be made for all numbers issued and names submitted (still £6 per number) at the end of the season. Results will be sent to club contacts and placed on the SYCAA website and John Schofield's results site as soon as possible after each event.

Numbers must be pinned to the vest. Do not use triathlon waist bands as these make it difficult for the recorders to read the number as you finish.

Club vests must be worn otherwise you will not count towards your team's result.

Important Safety Notice  - No ear phones at all.  You are on public roads. You must be able to hear Marshals instructions and approaching traffic.

Venue details

Race 1 28th March  Oxspring, Penistone

HQ   In the Coach and Horses Pub Car Park.

Toilets in the pub ...feel free to to stay for a drink afterwards. Parking is on the football field as in the past. DO NOT park on the course or on the road at the finish or in the pub car park.  The start is on the road above the Trans Pennine Trail about a ten minute walk from the finish. The finish is on the road in an estate near the football pitch.

Race 2 11th April Silkstone Common, Barnsley

This is a new venue and course. The venue is about 1 mile past Silkstone Common at a stables/indoor football and restaurant. There is plenty of parking so DO NOT park on the road. There are also toilets inside the building. Late names can be handed in at the restaurant. If you leave the M1 at J37 and go left into Dodworth village, past Brooklands Hotel and fork left, 2 miles further on is Slkstone Common. Go through the village and the venue is on the left.

Race 3 25th April  Low Bradfield

HQ in Low Bradfield Cricket Club Car Park.

Toilets in the club house .. open for a drink, also a pub across the road. Parking is behind the cricket club. DO NOT park on the dam wall or on the course. This is the same course as last year but the start and finish areas are slightly changed. We will now finish down the track off the road towards the dam side. Please ask runners not to clog the finish area and move away as quickly as possible towards the village.  The cricket club bar will be open and late names should be handed in there.

Race 4    25th April  Pickburn Arms, Pickburn, Nr Brodsworth

HQ Pickburn Arms. Late entries should be handed in here.  This is the same course as last year but this time a full 5 miles.Toilets in the pub. Parking is in the Garden Centre on Redbourn Road. DO NOT park on local roads in the village or on the course. The garden centre is 200 yards away by using a footbridge over the A1. The course is undulating with a straight level finish. After the race there will be food and maybe a hog roast. There will be a marquee and prizes will be given out there. If you are a winner then please stay for the presentation or arrange with someone else to collect it on your behalf.
