XC End of Season Report
OK. It's not the end of the season, but there is a bit of a lull now until the National as far as club runners are concerned. The attached report covers the South Yorkshire League, Yorkshire and Northern Championships. By any standards, a vintage year for South Yorkshire cross country.

Road News
Road League 2012.
Race information and venue details
As usual we have four fixtures for the Road League this spring. Numbers can be obtained from your Club Road League representative. The fee is £6 for the series. Please pin numbers to vests and do not use the triathlon waist bands as this causes difficulties for the recorders. These races are restricted to members of South Yorkshire clubs affiliated to England Athletics.
The attention of competitors is drawn to two of the League rules. Club vests must be worn. Failure to do this will result in disqualification from the team event. The use of earphones during the race is not permitted. Anyone doing so will be disqualified and their name will not appear in the results. This is for safety reasons and applies to all competitors.
Please observe these rules and the instructions which follow and ensure that we have enjoyable and safe races.
Wednesday, 28th March Waggon & Horses, Oxspring
Start 7 pm prompt. Parking on the football field where the Trunce starts. This is the same venue as last year. Do NOT park on the course, in the housing estate or pub car park. The finish is in the estate on the road. Please do not stay near the finish area, go into the field to meet other runners. Last year we caused a problem for local people and we do not want to annoy them again. The course is a bit hilly but the last mile or so is downhill. Keith Binney will be in the pub car park to take any additional names. Toilets available at the pub and the bar in the loft will be open after the race.
Wednesday, 11th April at Silkstone Common
Start 7 pm prompt. This is a new venue and course. the venue is about a mile past Silkstone Common at a stables/indoor football and restaurant. There is plent of parking so please do not park on the road. Toilets are available in the building. Additional names Keith before 6.50 pm. Leave the M1 at J37 and go left into Dodworth village, past Brooklands Hotel and fork left, 2 miles further on is Silkstone Common. Go through the village and the venue is on the left.
Wednesday, 25th April at Low Bradfield
Start 7 pm prompt. The same course as last year but the start and finish area are slightly changed. We will now finish down the track off the road towards the dam side. Runners are asked not to clog the finish area and move away as soon as possible. Continue along the track which leads back to the village. Runners are asked NOT to park on the dam wall or on the course. Parking is at the cricket club or on the road beyond the village. Please do not park on the narrow road down to the village as this is part of the course. Facilities at the cricket club, where Keith will take additional names up to 6.50 pm.
Wednesday, 9th May Pickburn Arms, Brodsworth
Start 7 pm prompt. The same course as last year but 5 miles this time. Parking at the Garden Centre beyond the pub and not on the course or in the village. Late entries to Keith in the pub cark park no later than 6.50 pm. After the race there will be food and maybe a hog roast. The landlord will put up a marquee and the prize giving will be there. If you are a winner please stay to collect your prize or arrange for someone to collect it if you cannot stop.
