UPDATE 13th MAY
With regard to the next SYCAA T&F Meeting to be held at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster, on the 19th May, all team managers should send a list of all new athletes to whom numbers have been issued to Janette Tomlins by Thursday lunchtime - 17th May. The details required are:- Name, Age Group, Date of Birth (under 11's only). Field event entries also need to be sent to Janette by Thursday evening - 17th May.

XC End of Season Report
OK. It's not the end of the season, but there is a bit of a lull now until the National as far as club runners are concerned. The attached report covers the South Yorkshire League, Yorkshire and Northern Championships. By any standards, a vintage year for South Yorkshire cross country.
SYSAA Combined Events Selection Policy
The number of athletes from within the county who compete in Combined Events is insufficient to allow the SYSAA to hold meaningful County Championships, from which potential County representatives could be selected to represent South Yorkshire at the ESAA Regional and National Championships
ESAA Combined Events Championship Selection Policy
Selection to represent the SYSAA at the ESAA North East Regional Championships will therefore be made on the basis of athletes' achievements in other recognised competitions such as the Yorkshire County, Northern Athletics or National Championships within the previous 12 months.
The SYSAA Secretary will contact such athletes directly to ascertain their availability to compete.
Athletes, who feel that their performances within the qualifying period are such as to merit inclusion in the County team, are encouraged to submit an application for consideration to the SYSAA Secretary by the 21st May, with details of their achievements in the relevant events and the competition in which they were achieved.
